I have never been able to use the whitening strips due to sensory issues. This pen is different and better for several reasons. First, you cannot feel it on your teeth. It does not get slimy or feel that it is difficult to talk like wearing a strip. You don’t collect extra saliva in your mouth with having it on. Second, there is customization. I have several teeth in different areas that are shades darker than the others. This allows me to do all of my teeth or only a few at once. I can paint only a couple of teeth to try to get them at the same level as the others. This pen instructs to wear overnight, but I have done it during the day also for a couple of hours when I’m not doing anything. I found it fairly easy to apply, just annoying. I have used it for four consecutive treatments now (only one of them all night) and have not noticed any sensitivity. I am pleased with the brightness and lightness after only four tries. I have found it difficult to get off with brushing until I realized that adding toothpaste makes a significant difference. I will continue to use this and purchase another.
