I have a medium-size 26-lb rescue mutt, and bought both the small and medium-size beds. I was not sure whether the diameter was measured from the inside or outside. The small size fits best. The medium size is way too large. When Sophie (my dog) gets angry at me she will tend to attack and disembowel her bed. I simply re-stuff and restitch. Unlike most beds, that display my terrible sewing style, the stitches are easily hidden in the fluffy fabric. I’ve repaired the bed four times and it still looks like new (almost).
