We finally got some fresh corn in or grocery store so I could test this cutter. It’s amazingly easy to use and fun too. I tried holding the cob with an oven mitt and cutting outward, then I tried standing the corn upright and cutting downwards. (I placed the cob off the cutting board just a little so I could get at the last few bits). The blades are amazingly sharp. Both methods work fine. No worry about any mess. The container holds quite a bit of corn. Fun purchase!
