It is flat, it’s not too fresh but it won’t get hot. It’s best if you set it on top of your pets bed or couch for it to be comfortable

This is amazing. Idk how this works but it does. After a bit my dog does adjust to a new spot on this to get cool again. I held my hand on this for a while and it felt cool after a bit. Theres no gel to worry about bursting or getting ripped by a nail or chewed. If it gets dirty simply toss I to the washer.
