If you have a kid with sensory needs, you need one of these swings. If you have a kid who will not sit still, you need one of these swings. We have an open floor plan. The kids use it as a swing, as a spinning chair, a yoga sling, a jungle rope, a cocoon, an easy chair to read or watch TV in. They are on it 24/7 even after 3 weeks of having it. In fact it’s used so much they fight over it. Bought another one so they can both use them at the same time. Now they are not the most aesthetically pleasing but if you have a special needs kid, odds are your house probably isn’t winning any awards anyway unless you follow the kid around all day and pick up after them. I do not. This house is very lived in so I don’t mind having a huge ugly swing in the middle of our living room (and a little trampoline too). Very sturdy!! The kids stand in it and it does not tear or stretch out. We love this swing!!!
