I got this to replace a broken hinge on my glass aquarium lid. I laid both halves on an upside down piece of blue painters tape to secure the bottom side of the two pieces exactly “one thin lego” space apart, then masked off the top of each side. I filled the crack in with the silicone and used my finger to wipe from one side to the other. I then quickly removed the top pieces of tape. waited 24 hours, peeled off the bottom piece of tape and there we go. Very easy and seems to be holding up well.
