The straps are adjustable. I’m 6′ and 180 lbs and it fit me perfectly. My son which is 9 years old tried it and it fit him perfectly. The two bottom straps are so easy to adjust for the kids sizes. I spend 2 hours inside the pool to see if it takes water, but it did not. The vest came out as dry as it can be. Also, I took a raft to the lake and my kid wore the best the whole time (3 hours) and not once did he complained about vest discomfort. I desided to buy 3 more for the rest of the family.
