1. Thoroughly clean the area you are about to weld by brushing with a stainless steel brush until the base is shiny.
2. Then heat the area to be welded evenly.
3. While heating, rub the wand vigorously against the heated area until it begins to flow.
Caution: Never apply heat directly to the rod as the rod will break and if you manage to melt the rod directly, the weld may break easily. Remember, melting the stick directly is the wrong way to go and it makes crumbling welds.
