To answer the big question, yes, it cuts deli bagels from New Jersey. There are times if the bagel is soft it will squish it a little, but it is easy to pull the edges round again. I make bagels at least 2-3 times a week for breakfast sandwiches and stuff like that. I cut all types of bagels, everything, onion, poppy seed, sesame seed…not one issue. Blade keeps going. After a few uses I run in through the dishwasher and everything is clean. I would buy this again.
