This is my SECOND Pedipaw in 12 years! They work great. However people make these errors time after time. 1. Do NOT just hold it against the nail, it will catch and stop. This is a SAFETY FEATURE so you don’t grind off too much in a few seconds. 2. It requires a “light touch” rocking the unit back and forth in a semi circular motion. Two seconds up, two down and it smooths the mail upper and lower by doing this. 3. Relax. If your dog senses you are nervous, it will be nervous.
You do not have to take weeks rubbing it/running it anywhere. I ordered a new one for today, and used it on TWO 5 month old puppies that never saw it before. Use treats to praise and distract. Remember, do NOT just hold it against the nail, rock it back and forth. THAT’S IT.
