For years I’ve looked for something to spread hard butter other than picking up a quarter pound of butter and rubbing it on my toast. Hard butter with a “butter” knife tears up the toast. We have been storing our butter at room temperature for years, raised some eyebrows from family in the past but now they know that it’s perfectly safe.
